Ethan P. Flynn – Abandon All Hope

Undoubtedly amongst the most challenging, unique and innovative breakthrough artists in the UK industry, Yorkshire-born, London-based singer-songwriter Ethan P Flynn is a lyrical craftsman, masterful in his depiction of the complexity of emotion. During his short but fruitful period in the limelight, he has collaborated with household names like David Byrne, FKA Twigs and Jockstrap, continuously striking with the breadth and purposefulness of his sound and approach.

Earlier this month, Flynn unveiled his highly-anticipated debut album, Abandon All Hope, via Young Recordings. A dense, dreamy and, at times, devastating body of work, the new record steers Flynn further away from the musical status quo. Tackling love, mental health and the modern age in a mature and refined manner, his visceral writing shines through, whilst the instrumental palettes are zested with nuance, colour and subtly.

To commemorate the release of the impressive LP, Flynn exclusively divulged the deeper meaning behind the individual songs on the album in our latest track-by-track feature.
