NYC-based artists Sedona Schat and Noah Yoo have been recording alternative pop songs together as Cafuné since their days as NYU students in the mid-2010s. From there, much changed, but their synergy and ability to produce infectious, whimsical and minimalist tunes. Now, they unveil their latest musical endeavour, a 5-track EP, “Love Songs For The End”, their first project since their signing to Elektra Entertainment.
Elaborating on the EP’s inspirations, Cafuné shared: “As we wrote this EP we realised that everything is always ending – in the world at large, within each of our lives. We hope listening to these songs ease your journeys because writing them definitely helped unburden our own.” The launch follows the release of their 2021 debut album Running, a self-produced project almost entirely recorded by the duo at their homes, mostly during the pandemic.
Here, we connected with Cafuné to discuss their new EP, inspirations behind the project and what they are most looking forward to in their future as a duo.
