“A desire for connection is the most human of all needs”, starts Joe Furlong, one half of the Dublin-Berlin based electronic duo The Cope, on their new single, “Find Another Way”. Listening to The Cope’s music feels like being immediately transported to a dance class in the 90s. The track is infectious, catchy and the perfect background for a sweaty dance floor this season. The Cope’s work focuses on bridging the human experience and human emotions into their meticulously crafted music and visuals, a clear aspect of the new track.

On “Find Another Way”, they discuss the fragilities of love and what can be done to keep a love alive when all else seems to have failed, they say. “It can be very easy for what was once a deep love to be lost over time, maybe due to complacency, communication breakdown, or just through life getting in the way. It’s in these moments that we’re forced to ask ourselves if the energy required to fix the fractures is worth expanding. Memories can be all-consuming, which makes it even harder to know when to let someone go.” The video accompanying the track, shot in Antwerp, is co-directed by U2 photographer Ross Andrew Stewart and second band member David Anthony Curley.
