British-Armenian independent alt-pop songwriter, producer, and artist Ripsime is ready to make her way through the crowds in full force. Today, she unveils her latest single, “Wicked & Wise”, the third track and lead single of her latest musical project, the EP “Capsule I: Wicked and Wise.” The project was recorded during her time in Armenia, a period of deep self-reflection and fear. During this time, she self-recorded the new songs while among places and spaces she may no longer be able to return to, with the corridor connecting Artsakh to Armenia being bombed and closed while she was there.
This debut EP, produced with Luke, mixed by Tom Donovan (Monster Florence), and mastered by Jonas Karlsson (John Legend), captures her personal experience of war in Armenia and the battle of her soul’s growth in love, acceptance, and creative freedom. Lead single “Wicked & Wise”, out now, embodies a dark and brooding brand of electronic pop, in the mould of Elder Island and Kate Bush while boasting a cutting-edge grit that rises above the noise.
